The problem
The Easy Reader+ reads rapid test cassettes at the bench. Rapid tests are ordered when the answer is needed quickly, yet each reading still had to be copied off the device and typed into the hospital management system, adding a transcription step to a workflow built for speed.
How we connected it
The Easy Reader+ transmits each reading over an RS-232 serial cable. The receiver listens on the port, parses each transmission into structured results, and matches them to the investigations pending on the patient's visit.
A technician confirms each result on the review screen before it is submitted to the record.
